PC - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Released: 16th November 2001

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Developer: Argonaut

  • For 1 player

The PC version of the game is a 3D third-person adventure game (puzzle-based)

The game starts at Privet Drive, this is a training level where Harry has to escape from the Dursleys.

Next it's the sorting hat ceremony and then into the proper game.

You have a timetable of classes where you learn spells which you'll need to solve puzzles and if you're caught skipping lessons then you'll lose house points.

Actually getting to your lessons is more tricky than it sounds because classrooms relocate and staircases move.

There's plenty to keep you entertained in this game, there are over 20 characters to interact with and an arcade style version of Quidditch to play as well.

This is definitely the best version graphically. The detail that's gone into Harry in brilliant, there's his slightly scruffy clothes and even the lightning scar on his head.
